Lily of the Valley

Lily of the valley is French for lily of the valley. Lily of the valley is a perennial plant classified in the genus Lily of the Valley, subfamily Lily of the valley. It has a modest, clean scent with citrus, green, and floral notes. Although it is not well known, natural lily of the valley does not contain any fragrances, and a lily of the valley base made of synthetic fragrances including hydroxy citronerall, the main component of lily of the valley, is often used. In the world of fragrance, there are four major florals, and lily of the valley is included in this term. One of the famous fragrances, Christian Dior's Diorissimo, is a perfume created by perfumer Edmond Rudnicka with the image of lily of the valley blooming in the meadow.
