Ylang-ylang

Ylang-ylang (Ylang-ylang) is a plant of the Annonaceae family. Most of the flowers used for fragrances are harvested in the Comoros and Nosy Be Island in the north of Madagascar, from dawn until 9:00 a.m., when the flower's scent is strongest. The scent is very strong, with a rich, white floral sweetness and a slightly spicy scent that gives it a sensual atmosphere. It is used in many famous fragrances, such as Guerlain's Samsara and Chanel's No. 5. Fragrances are extracted by steam distillation, and are ranked according to the time of extraction. They are broadly divided into "super extra" extracted from 0 to 30 minutes, "extra" extracted from 30 to 1 hour, and "third" extracted from that for up to 6 hours, and the price is set according to the specific gravity of each.
