Cassis

Cassis, also known as Kuroguri in Japanese and Blackcurrant in English, is a temperate deciduous shrub of the Currant family. Its fruits are deep purple and rich in vitamin C and anthocyanins, but have a slightly bitter taste, so they are used in various sweets and drinks, including the liqueur creme de cassis. No fragrance is extracted from the fruit, but the compound fragrance Cassis345 Base developed by the fragrance company Firmenich has a green tropical fruity flavor that gives a tropical feel and is used in many perfumes. In addition, Cassie ABS, extracted from Cassi of the Mimosa subfamily, has a similar name but is a completely different fragrance with a powdery floral scent that is a bit like mimosa.
