Green Tea
Green tea notes are often used in perfume formulations, and there are many famous fragrances such as L'Occitane's Green Tea Eau de Toilette and Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea. Even when referring to green tea as a whole, there is a difference in the image of the scent when referring to Japanese green tea or matcha and overseas green tea. The former refers to a strong scent with depth and bitterness, while the latter often refers to a refreshing scent with citrus or fruity elements like muscat. Cis-Jasmon, a synthetic fragrance that is essential to creating the tea scent common to both, is also the key note of jasmine and is used to express the freshness and astringency of tea.
