リベルタパフュームは、2025年5月31日で5周年を迎えます。香りという、掴めそうで掴めないものを扱いながら、ここまで歩いてきました。私は、静かな節目を好みます。特別な日も、いつもの一日として淡々と迎えますが、今年は少し文章にして残しておこうと思います。

On May 31st, 2025, Liberta Perfume marks its fifth anniversary. We’ve spent these years working with scent—a thing so elusive, so nearly graspable. Personally, I’ve always preferred quiet milestones. Even on special days, I tend to treat them like any other. But this year, I’ve decided to put a few thoughts into words.

この一年を振り返ると、混沌と確信の狭間を歩いていたように思います。Rain Blossomのリリース、突如バズを巻き起こした投稿と、イリスの欠品。秋には金木犀とコーヒーを重ねる香りをサロン ド パルファンで提供し、その裏で、季節のベースを月ごとに仕立てていく作業を、チームは黙々と続けていました。

Looking back on the past year, it feels like we’ve been walking a narrow line between chaos and clarity. We launched Rain Blossom. One unexpected post sparked a buzz, and Iris disappeared from our shelves almost overnight. In autumn, we presented a blend of osmanthus and coffee at Salon de Parfum. Behind the scenes, the team quietly continued crafting seasonal bases, month by month, drop by drop.

そして今、この小さなラボパフューマリーには、さまざまな言語と文化を持つ人たちが、香りをたよりに静かに集まってきます。日本のお客様も、遠くの誰かも、同じようにムエットを手に取り、何かを確かめるように香りを嗅ぐ。売上が立たない凪の日もあります。それでも私たちは、ラボパフューマリーという船で、風の来る方角を静かに待ちます。

And now, in our small lab, people from many languages and cultures gather—drawn by perfume. Guests from Tokyo or from halfway across the world pick up a mouillette and take a breath, as if searching for something unspoken. There are calm, windless days when we make no sales at all. Still, we stay at the helm of this lab perfumery-as-ship, quietly waiting for the wind to shift.

5年という時間は、いくつかの幻想を手放し、それでもなお残るものを知るには十分でした。チームは変わりました。人も変わりました。けれど、思考と姿勢だけは変わっていません。私たちは、誰か一人のカリスマによって語られるブランドではなく、異なる視点と技術と情熱が折り重なって進んでいく、もう少し複雑な構造を目指しています。

Five years is long enough to let go of a few illusions, and to see what still remains when you do. The team has changed. People have come and gone. But our way of thinking—our stance—has stayed the same. We never set out to build a brand defined by a single visionary. We’re aiming for something more layered: a brand carried forward by diverse perspectives, craft, and conviction.

香水というと、ラグジュアリーな世界を思い浮かべる人も多いかもしれません。けれど実際の現場は、もっと素手の作業です。その手と鼻に宿る経験と、一人ひとりが持つクリエイティビティが、ふとした瞬間に化学反応を起こす。私は独創的な香りとは、そうして生まれるものだと信じています。

When people think of perfume, they often picture something luxurious. But the reality is more hands-on, more honest. It’s in those hands—and in those noses—that experience lives. And when that experience meets each person’s creative instinct, something begins to react. We believe that truly original fragrances are born from that quiet alchemy.

6年目も試作を重ねながら、考えながら、あえて難しい道を選び続けます。

As we step into our sixth year, we’ll continue blending, questioning, and choosing the harder path—because that’s where the real stories unfold.
